Grizzly Peak Vineyard

Are you looking for a beautiful, outdoor venue nestled into the hills of Southern Oregon? Grizzly Peak Vineyard is your answer. My bestie, Hannah, and I went to scope out the place just for you and get all of the details!

The Venue

Amongst the trees, lies a gorgeous dance floor and reception area made out of pavers. The whole area is lit by tea-lights. Perfect for a hot summer evening, or mid-day spring ceremony. With guests having to leave by ten, it allows for a full day of celebration and fun. And although this venue sits on 40+ acres of land, the guest capacity is limited to 250 people - plenty of people to have a memorable event! There is also a bar area perfect for the venue to pass out their delicious wine, and a paved area behind the dance floor for the band or DJ!

Speaking of wine!

From Cabernet and Merlot, to Pinot and Chardonnay - even a delicious rose - this vineyard has wine for everyone! Hannah and I sampled a rose and white wine that complimented fruity flavors from lemons to apricots. Both mildly sweet but also a bit dry. It was truly the best of both worlds. The wines produced have won many national awards so rest assured, there is a wine for everyone!

But it’s not just about your guests!

Grizzly Peak also hosts a beautiful suite for the bride to get ready in. A large, open area for the whole bridal party to gather, with lots of natural light, yet still hidden away from the arriving guests. It also has a private balcony which would be a great place for the first look! And on the off chance you get rain on your big day, they also offer an indoor area to host your ceremony - their event center.

The downside…

The only downside I can think of with booking this venue is the transportation. With no onsite lodging, the nearest town (Ashland - a whopping 10 minute drive) is your best bet for you and your guests. They also do not supply transportation so make sure there is a sober drive to help shuttle people. Ashland does offer services like Uber though, so getting a ride wont be difficult.

In Conclusion

Grizzly Peak is a beautiful venue with pretty much everything you could need. The issue with transportation is really a minor thing considering there are Uber drivers, taxis, and friends that don’t drink. There are a large amount of hotels and AirBNBs in Ashland so housing is a non-issue as well. The weather is also amazing for outdoor events in Southern Oregon, with pretty mild winters and hot summers, any time of the year could work. Then of course, you have the staff at Grizzly Peak. Some of the most welcoming and kind people I have met, they accommodate your needs and really strive to make your day everything you’ve dreamt of. If you are looking for an intimate wedding venue away from the hustle and bustle of the city - Grizzly Peak is the place for you!
